Warehouse Operations Reports To:

Warehouse Manager Position Summary The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading all warehouse operations during the evening shift while ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of customer freight in KRC Logistics' temperature-controlled warehouse. This position oversees warehouse associates, coordinates inbound and outbound freight activities, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces food safety and quality standards, and ensures all customer service expectations are met. The Warehouse Supervisor leads by example, promotes accountability, develops employees, and maintains a culture focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Leadership & Team Management Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates. Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate priorities. Ensure employees follow company policies, food safety requirements, and OSHA regulations. Maintain a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment. Complete employee performance evaluations and coaching documentation. Assist with interviewing and onboarding new employees. Monitor attendance, productivity, and labor efficiency. Warehouse Operations Direct all receiving, put-away, replenishment, order selection, staging, loading, and shipping activities. Ensure all outbound shipments depart accurately and on schedule. Verify inbound freight is received accurately and inspected for damage. Coordinate dock assignments and labor throughout the shift. Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards. Monitor workflow to maximize productivity while minimizing overtime. Inventory & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory through proper scanning and documentation. Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve variances promptly. Ensure product rotation using FIFO and FEFO procedures. Support cycle counts and physical inventories. Food Safety & Quality Maintain FDA food-grade warehouse standards. Ensure compliance with all GMP, HACCP, and customer-specific requirements.

Verify proper temperature handling of:

Frozen products Refrigerated products Ambient products Monitor sanitation and cleanliness throughout the facility. Immediately report product damage, contamination, or safety concerns. Safety Promote a zero-accident safety culture. Conduct regular safety observations. Ensure proper forklift operation and certification. Investigate accidents and near misses. Maintain emergency preparedness procedures. Enforce proper PPE requirements. Customer Service Ensure customer freight is handled carefully and accurately. Resolve operational issues quickly. Communicate shipment delays or concerns promptly. Maintain KRC's commitment to exceptional customer service. Administrative Responsibilities Complete daily shift reports. Review labor hours and productivity metrics. Maintain accurate documentation. Communicate shift turnover to first shift management. Assist with scheduling and staffing. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years warehouse experience. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Forklift experience. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments. Preferred Food-grade warehouse experience. Temperature-controlled logistics experience. Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience. DOT and transportation knowledge. Lean or Continuous Improvement experience. Physical Requirements Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment. Work in refrigerated and freezer environments. Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
