Job Summary The Line Lead is responsible for increasing operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by setting up and operating a production line from raw material to finished product. This position reports to the Operations Manager. 2nd

Shift Hours:

2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., with availability to work overtime as needed. Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Prepares production equipment for operation by making equipment setup adjustments, assisting with equipment changeovers Maintains quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspection; completing production control charts; analyzing recordings and making equipment adjustments Helps train others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures Maintains production line operation by solving production process problems; making equipment adjustments; reporting production and quality data; reporting decisions made; referring questions to the supervisor Maintains production operations by following policies and procedures (equipment, raw and in-process materials, and finished goods); reporting needed changes Ensures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes and repairs Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed through cooperation with team members and acceptance of re-assignments as directed by supervisors Other duties as assigned Qualifications 2+ years' experience in a team, line lead or supervisory position within an industrial and/or distribution environment 1+ years' experience in a metal service center High School diploma or GED; or one to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, instruct, and guide others Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks Must be reliable and punctual Ability to effectively communicate with people Ability to read and interpret data and draw valid conclusions Benefits 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Health insurance - Medical/Prescription Drug/Dental Vision Health Savings Account (HSA) Wellness Stipend Paid Life insurance Paid Short / Long-Term Disability Insurance Adoption Assistance (Financial) Adoption & Fertility Navigation Support Referral Program Employee Assistance Program Employee Discount Tuition reimbursement Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
