Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Dining Room Supervisor to lead our senior living community's dining services. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all aspects of dining room operations, including meal service, staff scheduling, and customer interactions. Train, mentor, and evaluate dining staff to ensure adherence to service standards, food safety protocols, and company policies. Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring meals meet quality standards and dietary requirements. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular inspections and staff training. Collaborate with kitchen management to plan menus, coordinate catering or banquet events, and optimize food production processes. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high resident satisfaction levels. Assist in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize operational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in food service management within casual dining, fine dining, or hospitality environments. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced settings. Expertise in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting. Excellent communication skills for staff training, team management, and customer service interactions. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to cash handling, inventory management, and budgeting. Experience with shift management, staff interviewing, training & development initiatives. Background in managing hospitality teams with a focus on team leadership and operational excellence. Competence in managing food production processes for catering events or banquet services.
