Job Description
Overview Sugarloaf is looking for a motivated and service oriented leader to join our Food and Beverage Team as a Front of House Supervisor in our on-mountain resturant and bistro, Bullwinkles. This position oversees all front of house operations in that location. Candidates must have a passion for the food & beverage industry and have a desire to create the ultimate dining experience. Previous supervisory experience in a resort based hospitality role is preferred. This full-time seasonal position is eligible for great job perks. Responsibilities Oversee the front of house dinner team to ensure consistent outstanding guest experiences. Improve service by communicating and assisting team members to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed under the guidance of the Bullwinkles Restaurant Manager. Conduct such functions as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance appraisals, coaching, and counseling to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity as directed by Manager Possess a wide-ranging knowledge of wine including the development of comprehensive wine lists and programs Take ownership of any guest issues until resolved Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role must: have excellent people and management skills. have ability to stay calm in stressful situations. be able to communicate effectively with the restaurant staff, kitchen and the hotel front desk. be able to lead by example and create an enthusiastic working environment. have extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for what's trending in the Food and Beverage industry. be open to a flexible work schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
