Saint Joseph's College of Maine seeks a dynamic individual for the position Front of House Supervisor for our on campus Pearsons Caf!
Salary Range:
$19.90 - $23.21/hour
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor supports Pearsons Caf by adhering to the highest level of quality, customer service and cleanliness throughout the caf; overseeing the supervision of front of the house staff; and assisting with catered events scheduled at various venues on campus.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to the highest level of quality, customer service and cleanliness throughout the caf by:

Deliver strong customer service and adhere to Pearsons philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food, products and exemplary serviceRepresenting the College in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client, student and employee interactionsBeing attentive to details with the customer and client perspective in mindEnsuring that the various serveries are prepared 15 minutes prior to each meal period to allow time to review and make adjustments if necessaryFollowing the proper product fill procedure for optimal appearanceEnsuring the dining room is clean, including the tables and floors, and is welcoming to students, employees, and guests, and that all service areas are kept clean to support a positive experienceEnsuring that operating procedures are followed and executed appropriately and timely (including after peak rush times) by following the checklistsDeveloping and revising daily and weekly cleaning checklists and oversees their accomplishmentReporting any safety hazard, service issue or guest complaint to the Director of Food ServicesResponding to all comments and complaints within 24 hoursOversees the supervision of front of the house evening staff by:

Coaching and mentoring staff in setting goals, creating action plans, and time management while fostering a team environmentTeaching/training staff to deliver excellence, strong customer service and adhering to Pearsons philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food, products and exemplary serviceSupervising the adherence to proper uniform standards (appearance on the job)Ensuring the adherence to cash policies and procedures; which includes reconciling evening cashAssist with catered events scheduled at various venues on campus by:

Working collaboratively with the Agritourism Events staff to ensure the highest level of quality and service throughout the eventEnsuring events are properly staged 15 minutes prior to start and include proper serving items (i.e tongs, salt and pepper, and smallwares)Listening to special requests and filling the request as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredMinimum two years experience in related field or positionServSafe certified equivalent certificate in proper sanitation procedures and safe food handling, must provide valid certification with 120 days and must maintain certificationMust have a valid drivers license, complete a driver training program and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time staff position with estimated regular hours of 40 per weekMust be available for evening and weekend work
