We are seeking loving, caring, and compassionate Caregivers, Personal Support Specialists (PSS), and Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) across the entire state of Maine to provide our clients with the highest professional in-home care. We assure you that clients will be within 45 minutes of your home, preferably less! Not certified? No problem! Heaven Sent Home Care will provide Personal Support Specialist (PSS) training at no cost to you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed. Complete light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean living environment. Provide medication reminders in accordance with agency policies. Accompany clients to appointments. Monitor and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental condition to supervisors. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client status. Support clients in maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life. Follow individualized care plans and agency policies and procedures. Establish positive, professional relationships with clients and family members. Practice safety precautions and infection control procedures at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous caregiving, home care, personal support specialist (PSS), CNA, DSP, or related experience preferred but not required. Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, and active auto insurance policy. Ability to pass required background checks and reference checks. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. Basic understanding of client confidentiality and professional boundaries. Current PSS certification or willingness to obtain certification, if required by state regulations. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
