As a Plastic Injection Molding Supervisor, you will be responsible for exercising leadership, managing production responsibilities in accordance with customer requirements, provide directions to production employees while meeting safety requirements and adhering to all quality procedures (IATF). The Supervisor is to be also responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. We are seeking a candidate who is extremely motivated and is excited about the opportunity to support all operational processes and procedures. Shift 4PM to 2:30
AM Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes Communicates with Manufacturing manager for processing issues and concerns Convey all information required to oncoming supervisor to assure he/she has all the information necessary to run a smooth production shift Participated and contributed to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities Verifies and perform process verification sheets Responds to all process deviation sheets Document any and all process changes per internal procedures Directly responsible to monitor and maintain process in accordance with master set up sheet in the Job book Follow all departmental operational procedures relating to the set-up, operation, and shut down of jobs Trouble shoots process issues and receives approval to change the process if necessary Responsible for keeping any equipment in good working order this involves regular inspection, cleaning, servicing and maintenance Document any noted clear or malfunction of equipment to ensure proper repair to equipment is completed on timely manner Set tools if needed per schedule Responsible for all documentation pertaining to the overall operation of their shift. Maintain cleanliness and general appearance or the production floor Trouble shooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment Reports and/ or repairs tooling issues if capable to manufacturing manager Instruct all employees as to overall functions of equipment being used and be confident that all involving personnel have necessary knowledge to operate all machinery in a safe productive manner. Ability to use a computer Approval of PTO Ability to communicate effectively Maintains employee relations Ability to complete Performance reviews Other duties as assigned by your manufacturing manager
Experience, Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Supervisor experience in Plastic Injection Molding
REQUIRED!
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to appreciate proper safety techniques Preferred robot programming, troubleshooting experience (Star Automation) Desired Experience RJG Training formally certified or demonstrated abilities in use of e-Dart system.•Certified Master Molder training received.
