dba Detroit Wing Company The Shift Leader will be involved in all aspects of the business and responsible for the overall operation of their assigned restaurant, ensuring the overall integrity of the Detroit Wing Company (DWC). The Shift Leader in this role will lead by example, be enthusiastic, and have a "can do" attitude. Key responsibility areas includes team performance, increased sales and profitability, effective cost controls, and development, training and retention of team members. The Shift Leader is responsible to work actively to ensure the restaurant meets administrative, training, and operating goals. Customer satisfaction will be your driving motivation. Responsibilities Oversee daily FOH and BOH operations and ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed for employees and customers. Maintain food and labor cost at optimum levels Ability to work a 35+ hour work week. (Includes nights, weekends, and some holidays) Resolve customer complaints in a tactful manner to maintain customer satisfaction. Supervise subordinate staff to assure that customers are treated promptly and courteously; products are of specified quality and quantity; equipment is maintained properly; sanitation standards are complied with, and the restaurant is maintained in a neat and attractive manner. Utilize all company training tools to provide crew employees with on-the-job training in all aspects of restaurant operation. Exercise sound managerial judgment and decision-making pertaining to all employee relations and personnel actions (i.e., timely performance evaluations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions, employee counseling, etc.) to develop attitudes of cooperation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
