Job Overview Ebenezer is looking for a Food Service Supervisor to join our team! This positiom supports the Director of Nutrition by leading and directing Nutrition Services team members; along with planning, organizing, purchasing food, enforcing proper food handling, sanitation practices and promoting a safe working environment. This nutrition services schedule includes; 80 hours per two weeks Day/evening shift Every other weekend Ebenezer Ridges Care Center highlights a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Intergenerational Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN. Responsibilities Leads and directs team members. Understands responsibilities of all positions in the department. Trains, redirects and assists employees as needed. Recommends changes in techniques for a more efficient operation. Enforces proper work habits which includes but isn't limited to: food handling, hand washing, sanitation, lifting techniques, body mechanics and safe use of chemicals. Contributes to facilities positive employee relations environment by expressing appreciation of employees, by treating them with dignity and respect, and by answering questions or resolving complaints whenever possible. Purchasing and receiving food, supplies and equipment. Orders food, supplies, and equipment as needed for department and others. Assures that food, supplies and equipment are checked in upon receipt to assure that specifications are met. Assures stock is put away appropriately. Follows up on incomplete deliveries and/or damaged products for credit. Sets up order guide for food purchasing. Assists in meeting needs when there is a lack of food. Required Qualifications Supervisor experience & institutional cooking Purchasing experience 1 year Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course. Accept Food Sanitation Safety Course from the following companies (must be obtained within 90-days of hire date):
