Job Description

Restaurant Manager - Chevy Tex MexJob Overview Chevy Tex Mex is looking for an experienced, energetic Restaurant Manager who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of a busy restaurant. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that a successful restaurant starts with great hospitality, consistent food quality, a well-trained team, and attention to the details . The right person will be comfortable working alongside the team, interacting with guests, solving problems, and helping create an environment where both employees and customers enjoy being. This is not a desk-management position. We are looking for someone who is visible on the floor, understands both front- and back-of-house operations, and can lead by example. Responsibilities Manage daily restaurant operations and maintain high standards for food, service, cleanliness, and hospitality. Lead and support front-of-house and kitchen employees during daily operations and busy service periods. Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop employees. Create a positive work environment while maintaining clear expectations and accountability. Handle guest concerns professionally and make decisions that build customer loyalty. Monitor food quality, portioning, preparation, sanitation, and food-safety procedures. Manage labor and scheduling based on business levels. Monitor inventory, purchasing, waste, and food costs. Oversee cash handling, POS procedures, opening and closing responsibilities, and daily reporting. Review sales, labor, food costs, and other operating results to identify opportunities for improvement. Work with ownership and management to improve restaurant sales, profitability, and the overall guest experience. Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service or casual dining restaurant . Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop employees. Solid understanding of both front-of-house and kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory control, labor management, and food-cost control. Experience with restaurant POS systems and cash-handling procedures. Ability to understand restaurant financials, including sales, labor, food costs, and profit-and-loss statements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Spanish language skills are helpful, but not required. Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced restaurant environment. A genuine commitment to hospitality and taking care of guests. What We're Looking For More than anything, we are looking for a restaurant professional —someone who takes pride in the business, enjoys developing a good team, understands the importance of consistency, and knows that successful restaurant management means being present and involved. If you enjoy the restaurant business, like working with people, and want an opportunity where your leadership can make a difference every day, we'd like to hear from you. Join the Chevy Tex Mex team and help us continue building a restaurant where great food, great service, and great hospitality come together.
