The Nebraska Unions Food Commons features a variety of dining options, including local favorites such as Valentino's and Imperial Palace, as well as popular concepts like Sossy's BBQ, Husker Hero's, and Choolaah. We are seeking a Shift Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and support the daily operations of one of these dining concepts while helping deliver an outstanding guest experience. As a Shift Leader , you will assist with operational leadership by: Leading by example through a servant leadership approach Supporting daily operations including food production, front-end service, cleaning, opening and closing procedures, and stocking Delivering outstanding guest service while resolving questions and concerns in a professional manner Assigning daily responsibilities to team members based on operational needs and staffing levels Ensuring food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met Training and mentoring new team members to support their success Schedule varies and includes evenings, late nights, and weekend shifts.
