Overview The Operations Supervisor is a key leader position in the distribution and operations organization reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as knowledge of warehouse operations Preference for warehouse automation experience is a plus but not required. The Operations Supervisor leads day to day operations and personnel, ensuring the highest level of customer service to customers. Leads union and non-union employees and enjoys building a team. Responsibilities Planning
  • Ability to identify and plan for staffing requirements based on knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations. Make decisions based on experience and operations planning . Ensures that procedures and processes match requirements of the operation. Capability to train and implement new technology and processes while maintaining productivity. Building an inclusive culture
  • Individual and collective accountability, reward and recognition programs, communication designed to frontline employees and build a desirable place to work. Continuous Improvement
  • Development and implementation of performance-based metrics in order to drive results through continuous improvement programs such as lean six sigma. Collaboration
  • Partnering with night and day operations managers, delivery, and maintenance functions to identify areas of opportunities for improvements to fill rate, throughput, and reduction of cost. Execution
  • Ability to execute plans and get results through others and identification of gaps and opportunities. Looks for ways to improve day to day workflow. Safety
  • Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed.
Report all work-related injuries immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary. Ensure compliance with appropriate government regulations. Qualifications Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Logistics Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management) 3-5 years of direct supervisor level experience within a distribution environment 3+ years Operations management experience Supply Chain supervisory experience Functional system understanding in WMS, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights and weekends when required 20% In-state travel requirement Strong Communication skills

Preferred:
Warehouse automation experience Physical Requirements 9-10 hours, 5 days a week, ability to work across multiple shifts Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds based on the nature of product sold
