Job Description

The PinnacleFit Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring daily gym operations are running efficiently and smoothly during assigned shifts. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members while supporting staff performance, enforcing policies, and handling member needs. The Shift Leader acts as the on-site point of contact in the absence of management. Key Responsibilities Operations & Facility Oversight Open and/or close the facility following established procedures Ensure gym cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness throughout the shift Monitor facility safety and respond to incidents or emergencies according to policy Complete daily shift checklists and reports Member Experience Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner Address member questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and respectfully Resolve minor member issues and escalate concerns to management when necessary Promote a positive, motivating gym atmosphere Policy & Safety Compliance Enforce gym rules, safety protocols, and code of conduct Ensure proper use of equipment and intervene when unsafe behavior is observed Document incidents, injuries, or rule violations using required forms Administrative Duties Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, lead follow-ups, and prospect calls. Assist with sales inquiries, tours, or membership support as needed Communicate shift updates, issues, or recommendations to management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a gym, fitness center, or customer service role preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Basic computer skills and comfort with gym management software Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs+ if necessary Comfortable working in an growing fitness environment Work Schedule Must be available to work opening and/or closing shifts and weekends as needed.
