In this fast-paced role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, interacting with customers, preparing delicious ice cream and beverages, handling transactions with precision, and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. Whether you're serving up shakes or managing cashier duties, your positive attitude will be key to delivering exceptional service in a quick service restaurant setting. Duties Prepare a variety of food items, including shakes and other menu offerings, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process orders accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, dining space, and behind the counter to ensure food safety compliance. Assist with food handling tasks like bussing tables, stocking supplies, and supporting kitchen operations when needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred; familiarity with quick service or fast food environments is a plus. Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food safety practices and sanitation standards required; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly. Previous retail or restaurant experience can be helpful for understanding sales and upselling techniques.
