Job Description
The Food Service Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight of the dietary services department in a long-term care facility. This position ensures the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The Food Service Director oversees departmental budgeting, staffing, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational performance while collaborating with the Registered Dietitian, Administrator, and interdisciplinary care team to promote resident satisfaction and exceptional dining services. The Director supervises the Food Service Manager and is accountable for the overall success of the dietary department.
