Director of Food & Beverage Gansevoort Meatpacking | New York, NY Full-Time | Weekends & Flexible Availability Required Gansevoort Meatpacking is seeking an experienced, dynamic Director of Food & Beverage to lead our diverse food and beverage operations in the heart of New York City's Meatpacking District. This is a hands-on leadership role for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows how to balance exceptional guest experiences with strong operational and financial performance. The Director of Food & Beverage will oversee multiple concepts and outlets while developing strong teams, maintaining service standards, and driving revenue and profitability. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for all Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bars, rooftop, lounge, room service, events, and additional hotel F&B concepts. Lead, coach, and develop F&B managers and hourly teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and a strong service culture. Maintain elevated standards of hospitality, presentation, cleanliness, and guest engagement across all outlets. Partner closely with Culinary, Hotel Operations, Sales, Events, Finance, HR, and senior leadership. Monitor labor, payroll, scheduling, productivity, cost controls, purchasing, inventory, and other key operating expenses. Analyze revenue, labor, cost of goods, and departmental performance and implement strategies to improve profitability. Drive revenue through programming, upselling, events, beverage initiatives, and new business opportunities. Oversee staffing levels and scheduling based on business volume and operational needs. Ensure consistent execution of service standards, SOPs, opening/closing procedures, and departmental policies. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally and identify opportunities to continuously improve the guest experience. Participate actively in recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development. Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and company standards. Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak business periods, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience , preferably within a luxury/lifestyle hotel, high-volume restaurant group, nightlife, or multi-outlet environment. Previous experience overseeing multiple F&B outlets strongly preferred. Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets, labor, COGS, forecasting, and departmental profitability. Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and hold management teams accountable. Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong understanding of elevated hospitality and luxury guest-service expectations. Ability to remain composed and solutions-focused in a high-energy environment. Experience with POS, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and hospitality management systems preferred. Must have flexible availability , including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing financial performance, coaching a manager, supporting a busy service, resolving a guest concern, or developing the next revenue-driving concept.
Compensation:
$120,000 - $125,000 annually, based on experience.
