POSITION
Senior Food Service Supervisor STATUS This position will be filled according to the Civil Service rules by a provisional appointment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from regionally accredited or New York State registered two-year college or university with an Associate's Degree in food production with two-years of experience in the preparation or cooking, and serving of food in a public or institutional dining facility; OR Graduation from high school including a vocational institute or post high school cooking curriculum with four-years of experience in the preparation or cooking of food in a public or institutional dining facility involving large quantity food service; OR Graduation from high school with six-years of experience in a school meal program, public or institutional dining facility involving large quantity food service and the direction of a number of food service personnel in day-to-day operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume responsibility for the production of food, assuring that standardized recipes, production techniques and HACCP (Hazard Access Critical Control Plan) plans are followed, without deviation. Assure that planned menus and production schedules are followed, without deviation. Requisition, inventory, direct and assist in the storage and care of food, supplies and equipment. Assume responsibility for the security of food, equipment, supplies and revenues Schedule, supervise and participate in the preparation, serving and, as appropriate, the cooking of food. Plan work schedules and trains and evaluates personnel. Direct and assist in the work of food service workers (i.e. Cook/Baker, Assistant Cook/Baker, Food Service Helpers, etc.). Maintain cash and sales records. Customary duties associated with the position. SALARY Salary will be determined according to the Food Service Workers' Unit Bargaining Agreement.
