Job Description

Director of Fresh Food Operations Overview We are looking for a highly organized and dependable Director of Fresh Food Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fresh food program. This position is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, pricing, regulatory compliance, production planning, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a strong manager who is comfortable working with numbers, managing processes, keeping accurate records, and ensuring that standards and regulations are consistently followed. Previous food-service experience is not required. We are open to candidates with management or operations experience in other industries who are organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn our products and processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the fresh food department. Manage all food and supply ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Monitor inventory, usage, waste, and product costs. Establish and maintain accurate product pricing. Review pricing regularly to ensure products are appropriately priced and profitable. Coordinate production schedules and ensure products are prepared and available as needed. Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records. Ensure products are properly labeled, dated, stored, and rotated. Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, and company regulations. Monitor department procedures and address compliance issues as they arise. Develop and maintain organized systems for ordering, inventory, pricing, and production. Lead, train, schedule, and hold employees accountable to department expectations. Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and direction when needed. Work with management to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs. Communicate inventory, purchasing, pricing, and operational concerns to company leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Perform other duties as needed to support the successful operation of the department. Schedule & Hours Start time: 5:30 AM This position does not have a definitive end time. The daily schedule may vary based on production and operational needs. Most production days are expected to be completed in approximately 8 hours , when business needs allow. Additional hours and overtime may be required when production, ordering, inventory, or other operational responsibilities need to be completed. The Director is expected to remain on-site until critical work is completed and the department is prepared for the next production day. Flexibility and dependability are essential to the success of this position. What We're Looking For Previous management, supervisory, or operations experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, inventory, and purchasing. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow and enforce policies, procedures, and regulations. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently. Comfortable managing employees and holding team members accountable. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Food-service experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate on our products, processes, and industry-specific requirements.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
