Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dietary Manager to lead our food service operations within a healthcare or senior living environment. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of dietary services, ensuring that residents or patients receive nutritious, appealing meals that meet their individual health needs. Your leadership will drive compliance with health regulations, manage food safety standards, and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage the dietary department, including supervising food service teams to ensure efficient and high-quality meal preparation and delivery Develop and implement care plans that incorporate nutritional requirements tailored to residents' or patients' health conditions Oversee food production processes, ensuring meals are prepared safely, attractively, and in accordance with dietary guidelines and health codes Conduct patient assessments to determine individual nutritional needs and adjust menus accordingly Ensure compliance with all health regulation policies, including food safety management and food service health code standards Manage budgets for the dietary department, including inventory control, purchasing, and cost analysis to optimize resources Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation related to nutrition care plans, patient progress, and departmental reporting Requirements Proven experience in assisted living facilities, healthcare settings, or senior living environments with a focus on dietary management Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, physiology, and dietetics principles applicable to diverse patient populations Demonstrated supervisory experience managing food service teams within a regulated environment Familiarity with food safety management practices and health regulation policies governing food service operations Ability to perform patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans based on individual needs Experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records related to nutrition and care documentation Excellent leadership skills with a track record of team management and staff development Knowledge of budget management, food production processes, and food service health code compliance Acute care experience is preferred but not required; a background in managing food safety standards is essential Join us as a Dietary Manager where your expertise will directly impact the well-being of our residents or patients.
