Job Description

Job Summary Lehigh University Dining Services is seeking a dependable and organized Transportation Supervisor to oversee transportation operations supporting Dining Services and Catering throughout campus and surrounding event locations. The transportation supervisor will manage day-to-day movement of food, supplies, and equipment for catering events using a fleet of vehicles and supervising drivers. Duties will also include overseeing the dining employee shuttles and drivers to support the campus dining program. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation and delivery operations for Dining Services and Catering. Schedule and prioritize deliveries based on event times, locations, and operational needs. Coordinate transportation for catering events, game day operations, food truck events, and other campus activities. Ensure food, equipment, supplies, and beverages arrive at the correct location safely and on time. Plan efficient delivery routes and adjust schedules as event needs or operational priorities change. Coordinate setup, delivery, pickup, and return of catering equipment and supplies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle use, and transportation activities. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in transportation, logistics, food service, catering, hospitality, or a related field. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively with Dining Services, Catering, university departments, vendors, and event personnel. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to safely lift, move, load, and unload catering equipment, food, and supplies. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, based on event and operational needs.
