This role is responsible for managing the kitchen team, including line cooks and the dish team, while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. The Kitchen Lead will handle ordering, inventory management, team training, and ensure smooth kitchen operations to support a dynamic, fast-paced service. Responsibilities Lead, train, and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a positive, accountable, and collaborative environment Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food sanitation standards Oversee ordering, inventory, and food cost control to minimize waste and maintain efficiency Create and manage production schedules and prep lists to meet service demands Maintain high quality standards through daily product checks and recipe consistency Partner with leadership on menu development, seasonal features, and operational improvements Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflow and productivity Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training to strengthen and grow the team Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of cooks. Strong organizational skills to manage production schedules, inventory, and minimize waste. Solid understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and ordering processes. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
