$20-24+/hours Mad Chef Craft Brewing is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hospitality-driven individual to join our team as a Front of House Lead. Our Lead position is an entry-level leadership role and a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who wants to take the next step toward restaurant management. This is a working FOH position, not a traditional management position. Leads work alongside our servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff during service and remain part of the FOH tip pool while performing eligible tipped work. What Does a FOH Lead Do? Our Leads help set the tone for the shift and provide additional support and direction to the FOH team. You'll be expected to lead by example while still actively participating in service.

Responsibilities include:

Working alongside the FOH team during service Helping organize and maintain the flow of service Supporting servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff Helping with opening and closing procedures Communicating with the kitchen, bar, and management team Helping train and support new team members Reinforcing Mad Chef's service standards and procedures Helping resolve routine guest and service issues Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout the restaurant Identifying problems and communicating them to management Setting an example for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality

Important:

Lead vs. Manager Because our Leads remain working members of the FOH team and participate in the tip pool for eligible tipped work, Leads do not have independent management authority.

FOH Leads do not independently:

Hire or fire employees Discipline or formally write up employees Make decisions regarding promotions or termination Set employee compensation Make other employment decisions reserved for management When situations involving these responsibilities arise, the Lead communicates the issue to a FOH Manager or other member of management. The Lead position is designed to give team members an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain experience that can prepare them for future advancement into management. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has restaurant or hospitality experience Is dependable and leads by example Communicates well with guests and coworkers Can stay organized and composed during busy services Is comfortable providing day-to-day guidance and support to teammates Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic Takes initiative without overstepping their role Wants to learn and grow into restaurant management Is available nights and weekends Compensation Hourly wage + participation in the FOH tip pool for eligible tipped work This position provides an opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibilities while continuing to work directly alongside the FOH team.
