Dietary Director We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dietary Director to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. The Dietary Director will lead the dietary team, ensure quality meal service, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents. Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Medical, Dental & Vision coverage Low-cost medical plan with an open network Wellness program and telemedicine Daily Pay 401(k) retirement plan Generous PTO Voluntary benefits Employee discounts and appreciation programs Supportive work environment Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff Ensure meals are prepared and served according to established menus and resident dietary needs Work closely with nursing and clinical staff regarding resident nutrition and special diets Monitor food quality, portion sizes, presentation, and meal temperatures Manage food ordering, inventory, storage, and supplies Monitor food costs and minimize waste Maintain proper sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations Address resident and family concerns regarding food service Maintain accurate dietary records and required documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are properly maintained Promote a positive and professional work environment within the dietary department Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Hospitality, or a related field Previous dietary or food service management experience required Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare setting . Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage staff and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred or required based on state regulations Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is organized, dependable, and committed to providing residents with high-quality meals and excellent dining service.
