Job Description

Job Summary Charlie's Tavern & Kitchen has recently opened in the Cedars neighborhood of Dallas and we are looking for a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will drive team performance, manage food production, and uphold quality standards across all food service activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the culinary environment, foster teamwork, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service. Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a collaborative team environment. Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure cost-effective food operations. Implement food safety sanitizing procedures in compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment. Assist with menu planning, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and align with dietary requirements. Manage shift schedules, monitor kitchen performance, and address operational issues promptly to maintain smooth workflow. Coordinate catering events and banquet services by overseeing food production and presentation for large groups or special occasions. Qualifications Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or culinary environment. Extensive banquet experience along with strong catering and fine dining background. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Demonstrated ability in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen management systems. Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and food service management. Leadership qualities with excellent team management skills; capable of motivating staff under pressure. Prior restaurant or hospitality industry experience; familiarity with restaurant management software is a plus. Strong communication skills combined with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
