Front-of-House Shift Lead

• Allen / Frisco / Richardson Area GL Restaurant & Entertainment Group is hiring a full-time Front-of-House Shift Lead to support Gao's BBQ & Crab locations in Allen and Frisco, Texas.

Posting Location GL Restaurant & Entertainment Group Headquarters 195 Murray Farm Rd, Suite 240 Fairview, TX 75069 Actual Work Locations The employee may be assigned to the Allen or Frisco Gao's BBQ & Crab location based on staffing and business needs. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to both areas. Store assignments and future changes will be communicated by management. Position Overview The Front-of-House Shift Lead supports daily restaurant operations, assists the store manager, coordinates front-of-house employees, and maintains consistent service standards. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily front-of-house operations and assigned shift duties
• Assign employee stations and maintain proper shift coverage
• Support opening, closing, and shift-transition procedures
• Monitor customer service, dining-room cleanliness, and table turnover
• Assist employees with POS, order, and customer-service issues
• Train and coach new front-of-house employees
• Monitor attendance, breaks, and accurate timekeeping
• Respond to customer concerns and report significant issues to management
• Communicate operational problems and staffing needs to the store manager
• Ensure company procedures and service standards are followed Training, Compensation, and Introductory Period
• The position begins with a two-week paid training and evaluation period
• Training compensation is $12.00 per hour based on actual recorded hours worked
• Employees must accurately clock in, clock out, and record required meal breaks
• After completing training, the candidate will receive a performance assessment
• Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will begin the regular Front-of-House Shift Lead position at an annual salary of $50,000
• The regular position begins with a one-month introductory and evaluation period
• Completion of training or the introductory period does not guarantee continued employment; continued employment depends on performance, attendance, leadership ability, and business needs Schedule
• Full-time position scheduled five to six days per week
• Must be available for evenings, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and closing shifts as required
• Specific schedules are assigned according to restaurant staffing and business needs Qualifications
• Previous restaurant, customer-service, or team-lead experience is preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate employees in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
• Ability to commute reliably to the Allen and Frisco areas
• Comfortable using a POS system and handling customer concerns
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred but not required

Pay:
