Job Description

Job Overview Super Smash Burgers is the Smash Burger food trailer at Porky's Backyard, a large outdoor bar and food truck park in Atascocita. The menu is focused — smash burgers, fries, and a short list of sides — and the pace is fast, especially on weekend nights and during events. We're looking for a line cook who can run a flat-top under pressure, put out consistent food ticket after ticket, and keep a tight trailer kitchen clean and organized. If you've worked a busy grill line and like a menu you can master and then execute at speed, this is a good fit. Responsibilities Cook smash burgers, fries, and menu items to spec on the flat-top and fryer with consistent quality, portioning, and presentation. Work tickets off the Toast KDS/printer in order and keep ticket times down during rushes. Handle prep before and during service: portioning patties, slicing produce, prepping sauces, and stocking the line. Maintain food safety standards — proper temps, date labeling, FIFO rotation, hand-washing, and sanitizer use — in line with Texas health code. Keep the trailer clean throughout service and complete opening, closing, and deep-clean checklists (flat-top, fryer, hood, floors). Monitor product levels and let the manager know when supplies are running low. Communicate with the window/cashier and bar staff to keep service moving during peak hours. Work safely in a small space around hot equipment, oil, and sharp tools. Qualifications Texas Food Handler certification (required, or obtained within 30 days of hire). 1+ year of line cook experience, ideally on a flat-top/grill in a fast-casual, burger, or food truck setting. Comfortable working solo or with one other person in a tight trailer kitchen. Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays — Friday/Saturday and Thursday-night availability is essential. Able to stand for full shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot trailer environment in Texas weather. Reliable, on time, and consistent — the menu is simple, so execution is everything. Must be 18 or older. Toast POS experience is a plus but not required. Schedule & Pay Part-time and full-time shifts available. Closed Tuesdays. Hourly pay, rate discussed at interview. Tip share available. Scheduling managed through Sling. Sound like you? Apply and tell us where you've cooked and how many covers you're used to pushing out on a busy night.
