This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to keep people moving, solve problems as they happen, and take ownership of a shift from start to finish. We expect a lot from our supervisors. Our customers depend on us, the work is demanding, and marine operations don't always fit neatly into an 8-to-5 schedule. But there's an upside to that: the work is here. This isn't a turnaround, shutdown, or six-month project where everyone wonders what happens when the job ends. We're building a long-term operation, and we're looking for supervisors who want to be part of it. What You'll Do You'll follow your shift and own the operation while you're there. That means knowing where your people are, what they're working on, what's coming next, and where things are getting held up. You'll be responsible for: Leading and coordinating Cleaning Technicians throughout your shift Making sure every active job has the right coverage Assigning and moving employees based on workload and priorities Keeping crews productive and minimizing unnecessary downtime Monitoring jobs to make sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and correctly Making adjustments when someone calls out, equipment goes down, priorities change, or a job takes longer than expected Holding employees accountable for attendance, performance, safety, and quality Coaching and training employees who need additional support Inspecting work and making sure it meets Channel Marine standards Communicating staffing needs, delays, equipment problems, and other operational concerns to management Making sure the next shift knows exactly where things stand When the operation genuinely needs another set of hands, you'll be expected to jump in and help your crew. But your primary job is to run the shift, not become another Cleaning Technician. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership. You notice when three people are standing around waiting for something to happen. You know when a crew needs another person before the job gets behind. You don't walk past a safety problem because "that's not my crew." And when plans change halfway through the shift, you figure out what needs to happen next.

You should also have:

Experience in marine, industrial, tank, vessel, or barge operations preferred Previous supervisory, foreman, or crew-lead experience Strong safety awareness and good field judgment The ability to lead employees and have direct conversations when expectations aren't being met The ability to prioritize multiple jobs and changing operational needs A valid TWIC card The ability to pass required drug testing and physical examinations The physical ability to work around barges, climb, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and assist with cleaning operations when necessary Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended shifts when operations require it What You Can Expect From Us We're not going to tell you this is easy work. Compensation Starting pay within the posted range will be based on relevant experience, demonstrated leadership ability, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
