Job Description
Basic Job Information Shift Lead Front of House (FOH), Lehi Bakery, Lehi, Utah Reports to FOH Manager Part-time 20-30 hrs/wk Job Purpose & Impact The purpose of this role is to support the team, including the FOH manager, in a leadership capacity. This role sets the example for our team members regarding attitude, attendance, company values, customer service, productivity, task management, etc. Key Responsibilities & Expectations Overseeing the department and upholding company values in place of the manager when they are not on the premises. Ensuring that team members are staying on task and keeping busy during business hours. Opening and closing the store in a timely manner. Assist customers when issues arise, as well as refund or void orders, as needed. Training team members, as needed, and holding the team accountable for packing orders properly, answering phone calls, managing DoorDash, restocking and consolidating inventory, cleaning, etc. Offer to assist customers to their vehicles or open doors for customers whenever possible. Assist with cleaning daily/weekly/monthly tasks to keep the bakery clean. Must have the ability to problem solve, move quickly and efficiently, multitask, and plan ahead. Comfortable with change and adaptable. Detail-oriented and thorough. Skills & Qualifications Ability to use Toast POS system Cash handling High-quality communication Proven business ethics, including teamwork, time management, punctuality, and problem-solving Food handlers permit required Customer service experience, including phone etiquette Ability to lead a team by example, as well as the ability to keep others motivated Knows how to have fun while remaining professional Ability to de-escalate a situation Ability to stay on task Work Environment & Physical Demands Bakery setting, fast-paced environment with some high-pressure days/situations Lifting up to 45lbs, walking and standing for long periods of time, ability to listen and understand team members and customers Software used: Toast, 7Shifts, Spotify Open availability required, including mornings (start at 5 am)/afternoons (close at 5 pm), Saturdays and days prior to holidays (Sundays off)
