A Travel Agent makes travel and accommodation arrangements for customers. Provides information on vacation destinations, flights and tour options; arranges flights and accommodations and advises on travel itineraries for customers travelling for business. Assists with advance purchase of tickets and reservations.
Responsible for promoting and selling Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) to direct customers by handling inbound and outbound calls. Act as the "Travel Agent" for guests that book directly with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, driving profitability in sales and services while building first time customer business along with creating repeat guests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide detailed information to passengers as it relates to cruise reservations. This includes but is not limited to; payment requirements, cancelation policies, air, hotel, transfers, land programs, shore excursions and/or shipboard services. Provide guidance on destinations and plan for transportation, hotel accommodations, shore excursions, and/or recreation. Maintain detailed understanding of our ships, sailings, and product offerings to effectively support customer inquiries and needs. Obtain accurate and necessary authorization for payments and ensure confidentiality and security measures are in place, adhering to RSSC policies and procedures. Provide travel requirement information, as needed. This includes but is not limited to; customs regulations, currency, and required paperwork such as passports, visas, and/or certificates of vaccinations. Utilize salesforce to maintain an accurate client database and follow outbound call processes. Consistently follow up with guests to close options, payment requirements, rebooking opportunities, and/or other sales opportunities. Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering value-added services through proactive and practical solutions Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE

OF STUDY
Associate's degree in Sales or Hospitality preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6 months previous sales experience. Cruise, travel, or hospitality industry experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast paced multi-tasked sales environment. Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail with a sense of urgency. Ability to work independently and in a team to build and maintain guest relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues. Proficient in MS Office applications including Power Point, Excel, and Word. Capable of maintaining professional composure and performing effectively in difficult situations. Working knowledge of Salesforce or CRM system preferred.
