Job Description

Job Summary:
Rink Attendants serve as the on-site supervisor of the City of Chanhassen's outdoor ice rinks and warming houses. Their primary responsibility is to provide leadership, enforce park rules, and implement safe recreation practices both on the rinks and in the warming house. Interviews will be conducted as applications are received until all positions have been filled.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring appropriate behavior and safety guidelines are followed by participants in the warming house and skating areas Report information regarding the occurrence of accidents, disruptive behavior or maintenance issues to supervisor Carry out instructions given by supervisor promptly and accurately Submit verbal and written reports and evaluations as required Opening and closing duties daily Participant counts taken hourly Cleaning duties as assigned Assist maintenance staff with rink maintenance and other duties as deemed necessary
Job Specifics:
Season runs approximately Mid-December to Mid-March (weather permitting) Rink hours: Weekdays 4:00 p.m.
  • 9:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m.
  • 9:00 p.m., Sundays 1:00 p.m.
  • 7:00 p.m., and No School Days 10:00 a.m.
  • 9:00 p.
m. Approximately 5-25 hours per week, based on availability Applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the start of employment Must possess strong interpersonal skills Must be able to consistently work evenings and weekends Must have reliable transportation to and from job site
