1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN House Supervisor for a night shift position requiring prior charge experience and Epic proficiency. Details Hospital-wide House Supervisor role overseeing a facility with 528 beds and an average daily census of 550 Responsible for staffing management, patient and visitor needs, risk mitigation, bed placement, and patient throughput Supports key initiatives such as bedside handoff Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 Weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend basis, with 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays No floating required Requirements Active NY RN license required in hand Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Previous charge nurse experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Skilled in staffing models, centralized staffing, emergency care, code management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques Experience with rapid response teams, restraint protocols, and managing assaultive behavior Knowledge of isolation procedures, workplace safety, and legal aspects such as AMA discharges and sentinel event reporting Skilled in bed management, new admissions, post-procedure and post-surgical care, and transfers to higher levels of care Additional Information Serves as a clinical expert resource, supervising nursing care delivery across all hospital units Coordinates disaster management efforts, both internal and external Utilizes performance improvement tools to support quality initiatives Maintains organizational escalation processes for facility-wide concerns First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility for consideration Previous employees may be considered for rehire after a 6-month system-wide break in service Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
