ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by the In-Room-Dining Server position : Set up assigned station according to the Bellanca standards when opening and at start of shifts. Completion of assigned pre-shift side work. Communicate with kitchen, food running and hotel staff to maintain service efficiency and ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the IRD work area. Coordination and proper timing of steps of service sequence and service basics within assigned station. Proper set up of IRD trays used to deliver items to guests. Adherence to proper radio procedures and etiquette according to the Bellanca standards. Prompt, proper and professional delivery of items. Food does not sit in the window. Proper and professional interaction with guests while delivering items. Ensuring that guests have everything they need before departing. Specifically asking something along the lines of "Is there anything else I can bring you?" Check age verification of any guest under 30 years old who orders an alcoholic beverage. Ability to differentiate between valid and invalid identification. Knowledge and execution of the safe sale of alcohol to include over intoxication. Knowledgeable about daily and happy hour specials. Ability to completely answer food and beverage related questions from guests. Completion of running side work according to the Bellanca standards. Proper entering of food and beverage items into the POS system. Proper execution of all POS functions including opening a check/ entering items in Ability to properly apply charges to the correct room. Ability to properly close a check and to present the correct check to the correct table in the approved the Bellanca check folder when serving guests outside the room. Correct processing and collection of payment of final bill (either cash or credit card) Closing side work completed to the standards outlined on the side work sheet.
