In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your strong electrical diagnostics and blueprint reading skills. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex industrial electrical systems and implement effective solutions. Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes for safety and quality assurance. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following electrical safety procedures and protocols. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose faults in electrical circuits and systems. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, providing expert electrical installation support. Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance records. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes essential for safe installation practices. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Experience working on high-voltage wiring projects within industrial or construction environments. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and power equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures combined with the ability to follow strict safety protocols at all times. Previous construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
