Job Description

Overview Sushi Umi Glendora is looking to fill a server position. - 2 to 5 shifts per week (flexible) Duties Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and process payments accurately Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and fostering positive relationships Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred Strong knowledge of POS systems Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts and multitask efficiently Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Experience in serving, host/hostess roles, or bartending enhances your candidacy Join us to be part of an energetic team that values hospitality excellence!
