Job Description
As a Banquets Server at Marriott in our Food & Beverage Operations team, you'll deliver outstanding service for meetings, weddings, and special events. Responsibilities include setting up banquet rooms, accurately executing event menus, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and promptly responding to guest needs. You'll collaborate with kitchen and event teams to ensure smooth service, follow food safety and alcohol service standards, and uphold Marriott's people-first, inclusive culture while creating memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities Set up banquet rooms according to event orders (tables, linens, place settings, buffet stations) Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately during events Clear tables, reset spaces, and maintain cleanliness throughout functions Coordinate with kitchen and banquet captains to ensure timely course delivery Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines Respond to guest requests and resolve minor issues promptly and professionally Assist with event breakdown, storage of equipment, and room reset for next function Accurately handle basic cash or POS transactions if required Adhere to Marriott brand standards and appearance guidelines Support a safe, inclusive, and people-first work environment Required Skills Banquet service procedures Food and beverage knowledge Tray carrying and plate service Point-of-sale (POS) basics Food safety and sanitation Responsible alcohol service Event room setup and breakdown Customer service and guest relations Time management in high-volume settings Teamwork and communication
