Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Engage with guests to enhance their experience through personalized service, upselling menu items, and recommending specials via OpenTable or direct suggestions. Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties, processing payments accurately, and balancing registers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables efficiently, resetting dining areas quickly, and adhering to sanitation protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food handling and food safety standards. Requirements Proven restaurant experience or food service background with a strong understanding of guest relations and customer service excellence. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to assist guests effectively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing genuine recommendations. Strong communication skills for engaging with guests, team members, and management seamlessly. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
