Duties Set up banquet areas with precision, including table arrangements, linens, glassware, and utensils to meet event specifications. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining excellent guest relations, ensuring timely delivery and presentation. Assist with food handling and food preparation tasks to support the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals. Provide attentive beverage service, including wine knowledge and drink service, to enhance guest enjoyment. Clear tables promptly, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event to uphold sanitation standards. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing when applicable and manage cash or credit transactions accurately. Engage with guests courteously, addressing inquiries about menu items or event details to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly preferred. Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math for accurate order taking and billing processes. Familiarity with wine knowledge, beverage service, and fine dining etiquette is a plus. Experience with serving at events or banquets, including bussing and drink service, is desirable.
