Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Food Server role is critical to our success in the Food & Beverage department. The goal of the Food Server is to provide outstanding service that makes our guests feel welcome and catered to. Our Food Servers will take orders, offer suggestions on menu items, provide drink refills and guest satisfaction with the items they chose.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that station is properly set up to take care of the guests, this includes cleanliness and proper table set ups. Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, and work to build a relationship through the meal. Understanding of the outlet's menu, and the ability to make recommendations of dishes and/or specials. Take and enter guest orders, including any special requests or dietary restrictions. When food is prepared, retrieve order from kitchen, and confirm its accuracy with appropriate condiments. Ensure that the plating of the item is correct and looks appetizing. Monitor and take action to ensure quality of food temperature, presentation, freshness, and maintain a high level of sanitation at all times. Check back with guests to assure overall satisfaction, replenish beverages and pre-bus table. Present an accurate check to guest promptly and thank them for their patronage and invite them to visit us again. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 1year prior food service experience. Excellent guest service skills that make guests' feel important and special. Exceptional organization and time management. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Great active listening skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with everchanging guests and work priorities. Ability to work as a team to better serve our guests and each other.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED (preferred)
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended period of time. This role will require frequent movement throughout the property and constantly within the department. the person in this role frequently communicates with others that may have questions, they must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Must be able to detect items that are traveling from a distance or in proximity. Will be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
