Duties Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems like OpenTable Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling Clear tables promptly, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, and foster positive guest relations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in a fast-paced environment Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or similiar Familiarity with any POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess roles or guest services enhances your ability to excel in this position Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential (food handler certificate and alcohol server certificate required) Culinary experience or background in the food industry helps in understanding menu items and upselling effectively Strong time management skills are necessary to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly attitude are key to building guest rapport This dynamic role invites energetic individuals who thrive on creating lively atmospheres while delivering top-tier service.
