Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements or reservations using systems like OpenTable. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient processing. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage cash transactions accurately, process payments swiftly, and handle credit card processing securely. Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and drink options based on guest preferences. Ensure food safety standards are met during food handling and preparation; assist kitchen staff when needed. Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Support team members during busy hours by assisting with beverage service or hosting duties as needed. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and strong guest relations abilities. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards in the food industry.
