Overview Under the direction of the Guest Service Supervisor and Guest Service Manager, the Dining Room Server is responsible for creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents and their guests. This position follows established order and style of service while serving in the Main Dining Room and at special functions. Performs assigned side duties. Follows all safety and sanitation rules and regulations. Responsible for clearing dishes, bussing, and resetting tables. Maintains a clean, neat appearance. Essential Functions Demonstrates the ability to courteously serve all residents and their guests and answer any dining related questions including questions about specials. After each meal, cleans tablecloth, centers piece, salt, and pepper shakers, neatly folds napkins, and resets tables. Completes all opening and closing assignment tasks. Waits on and serves food to residents and guests in a pleasant, timely, and appropriate manner; enters all food ordering and billing functions through Micros System. Assembles or garnishes plates in an attractive appetizing manner at all times. Busses dirty dishes and lines and brings them all to the cleaning area. Restocks supplies and refrigerators for next meal service. Always checks with supervisor to assure dietary compliance is maintained before any menu substitution is made. Make copies of all Thistle/Way breakfast trays for the week. Reports all hazardous conditions or equipment and all accidents/incidents. Follows all policies and procedures, annual mandatory in-services, required meetings, and all other conditions of employment are consistently met. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner. 3-5 years' prior experience in a casual, fine dining, banquet, country club or hotel culinary department is required. Hours Full-time, 36-40 hours per week: 10:00am-2:30pm / 4:00pm-8:00pm Monday-Saturday, or 10:00am-2:00pm Sunday (Must be able to do a Saturday OR Sunday shift) Pay $17.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on years of experience) What are the benefits?
