Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines, ensuring adherence to specific dietary requirements for residents. Assist with food production, including basic food handling, portioning, and presentation of meals. Support the dietary department by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to uphold food safety standards. Buss tables, sanitize surfaces, and manage sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations such as JCAHO standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely while following proper manual handling and safe lifting practices for heavy lifting tasks. Provide friendly customer service to residents during meal times, assisting with serving and addressing special needs or requests. Follow workplace safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to food safety protocols. Assist with meal delivery within the facility, ensuring timely service while maintaining high standards of sanitation and sanitation practices. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry—especially roles involving food preparation or food service. Experience working with geriatric patients is highly valued. Basic math skills are necessary for portion control and inventory management. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and understanding food safety regulations is essential. Candidates with culinary experience or dietetics background will find this role rewarding as they contribute to nutritional well-being. CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong commitment to workplace safety and proper manual handling techniques is required for success in this role. Prior dietary aide experience or food handling knowledge will be considered an asset in providing exceptional service within our team.

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
