Job Description

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-focused Sandpiper Attendant to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the Sandpiper service area, operating the point-of-sale system, assisting guests with menu selections, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hospitality. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and committed to providing luxury service in a fast-paced café environment. Essential Responsibilities Provide exceptional service by welcoming members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude. Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with established quality and presentation standards. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently. Process member and guest transactions while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Assist guests with menu selections and answer questions regarding food and beverage offerings. Prepare café items and complete opening, closing, and side work assignments. Stock and replenish food, beverages, supplies, and service stations throughout the shift. Bus tables, clean dining areas, and maintain a neat, organized, and welcoming environment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Attend pre-shift meetings to review daily specials, promotions, and operational updates. Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Sandpiper service area at all times. Report safety concerns and assist in maintaining a safe working environment. Work collaboratively with culinary and Food & Beverage team members to ensure efficient operations. Assist coworkers and perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English sufficiently to communicate effectively with members, guests, and coworkers. Experience Previous restaurant, café, deli, or customer service experience preferred. Point-of-sale experience preferred. Hospitality or private club experience is a plus. Training will be provided for qualified candidates. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with a commitment to hospitality excellence. Strong communication skills and professional demeanor. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to safely handle food, dishes, supplies, and cleaning equipment. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor dining environments as business needs require. Schedule Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including: Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Overtime as business needs require
