Server Assistant / Busser / Food Runner Juniper | Highwood, IL Modern American Restaurant with a Dedicated Sushi Program Join the Team at Juniper Juniper is a new Modern American restaurant with a dedicated sushi program in the heart of Highwood, led by Executive Chef Todd Stein, whose career includes leadership within Ballyhoo Hospitality at concepts including Sophia Steak, Pomeroy, Coda di Volpe, Gemini, and more. We're building a team of hospitality professionals who believe great restaurants are built through genuine hospitality, teamwork, urgency, and attention to detail. We're looking for energetic, dependable, and hardworking Server Assistants / Bussers / Food Runners to join our front-of-house team. This is an active, fast-paced support position and an essential part of our service team. You'll work closely with servers, bartenders, the kitchen, and management to keep service moving efficiently and ensure every guest receives a polished experience from the moment they sit down until they leave. Responsibilities Run food accurately and efficiently from the kitchen to the dining room Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly throughout service Assist servers with maintaining tables and anticipating guest needs Refill water and assist with ongoing table maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations Stock and replenish glassware, silverware, linens, plateware, and other service supplies Assist with opening and closing sidework Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and management Work with urgency while maintaining a polished and professional presence in the dining room Jump in wherever needed — we operate with a team-first mentality What We're Looking For Previous restaurant experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right person Positive attitude and strong work ethic Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency Ability to stay organized and productive without constant direction Team-oriented mentality and willingness to help wherever needed Availability for evenings and weekends Why Join Juniper?
