The Role:

Food Runner / Service Crew This position combines the core energy of Food Running with classic Server customer service . Because our tech-forward setup handles much of the traditional order-taking, your main focus will be keeping the dining room moving at peak efficiency: running fresh dishes straight from the kitchen to tables, guiding guests through our ordering system, maintaining high table standards, and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities Express Delivery & Running:

Quickly and accurately deliver freshly prepared sushi, hot entrees, and beverages from the kitchen straight to guest tables.

Guest Service & Guidance:

Welcoming guests, walking newcomers through how our revolving belt and digital touchscreens work, and answering menu questions.

Table Maintenance:

Pre-bussing tables during meals, promptly clearing plates, and resetting tables so incoming guests are seated quickly.

Drink & Order Support:

Serving beverages, handling special requests or add-ons, and monitoring table needs throughout the meal.

Team Synergy:

Communicating clearly with both the kitchen staff and floor team to maintain a clean, organized, and seamless service flow. Qualifications Previous experience as a Food Runner, Server Assistant, Busser, or Server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude. Ability to stay organized and move with urgency in a fast-moving atmosphere. Comfortable using digital tech (POS systems, touchscreens, ordering displays). Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and carry food trays/dishes comfortably. Valid Illinois BASSET Certification and Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain both within 30 days of hire). Perks & Benefits Competitive base pay plus tip share.
