The purpose of the server position is to interact with guests and ensure they have an exceptional dining experience at our restaurant. A server takes orders, answers questions about the menu, food, and drinks, upsells menu and drink items, and processes payments. They communicate orders with the kitchen staff, seat customers, and assist with customer service and cleaning. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions. They should be knowledgeable about the menu and allergens, serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner, and anticipate needs and attend to guest needs.

Job Duties:
Opens, prepares, and closes the restaurant, including but not limited to setting tables, preparing garnishes and condiments, cleaning, wiping, and sanitizing floors, tables, chairs, counters, and performing any other reasonable tasks assigned by management. Stays updated on current menu choices, daily specials, and menu deviations. Demonstrates knowledge and participates in continuing education on drink and beverage options, including wine, beer, and liquor, while staying informed on product changes, dietary ingredients, allergens, and other relevant details. Seats and directs guests to tables and other areas of the restaurant. Presents menus, suggests and endorses menu items and drinks, serves courses, buses and pre-buses tables, replenishes utensils, and fills or refills glasses. Maintains a proper dining experience by offering suggestions, including desserts, fulfilling guest needs, obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, and returning change. As a cash handler, it is your responsibility to track cash payments and credit card receipts accurately. Properly sells and suggests alcoholic beverages and wine. As a seller of alcohol, you must be at least 19 years of age and have properly completed your ABC certification forms. Assists with special events and promotions as needed. Adheres consistently to uniform, grooming, and appearance standards. Greets all guests, employees, managers, and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess , or as we call it, the Hospitality Lead sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role goes beyond traditional hosting, embodying the professionalism and attentiveness of a maître d'. Responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, managing reservations, efficiently coordinating seating assignments based on guest preferences, and ensuring a seamless flow of service. The Hospitality Lead plays a pivotal role in elevating guest interactions, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, respected, and well cared for from the moment they arrive.

Facilitate the sale of alcoholic beverages in compliance with all legal requirements. Address guest concerns or complaints independently and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution. Oversee the waitlist and seating rotations to ensure they are running smoothly and fairly. Check in with and engage waiting guests. Use knowledge of the menu, food, and beverages to educate guests, make recommendations, and upsell when appropriate. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the restaurant's concepts and effectively communicate them to guests. Oversee to-go orders to ensure they are entered and delivered correctly. Process payments, provide change, and operate the POS system accurately. Proactively assist where needed to ensure a welcoming and seamless initial guest experience. Exhibit excellent communication skills. Inquire about dining details, special needs, or considerations relating to guests. Convey information to servers, kitchen staff, or managers
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred (but not required) Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on positive guest interactions. Ability to remain calm and composed during busy or high-pressure situations. A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to speak and hear. Close and distant vision required. Frequent walking, with occasional periods of standing. May walk for extended periods or long distances. Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and to kneel and stoop repeatedly.
Working Conditions:
Varying schedule, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat and cold from mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud. Will work near moving or mechanical parts. May work near toxic or caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles.
