Faidley's Seafood, a fifth-generation family-owned institution established in 1886. Originally starting as two stalls in Baltimore's Lexington Market, the brand has evolved into a world-renowned culinary destination celebrated for its "Gold Standard" jumbo lump crab cakes. Located in the heart of Catonsville, this latest expansion features a full-service restaurant and bar, raw bar, and event space. Position Overview The Support Staff role focuses on assisting various team members during their shift - everything from running food to bussing tables. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, consistency, and integrity of our food and service in the restaurant. You must remain organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure in a fast-paced environment. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Act as the vital link between the kitchen dining room, and back of house. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Follow the steps of service as defined, always offering hospitality to the guest. Utilize the technology and processes the restaurant has in place. Assist with the preparation and stocking of supplies before service begins - including but not limited to glassware, garnishes, ice, beverages, plates, flatware, to-go containers, napkins, and other dry goods. Ensure the bar and dining room is well-stocked throughout service and replenish supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and storage areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing bar areas, equipment, and tools, and working with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company's standards at all times. Wash, sterilize, and polish glassware, stemware, utensils, and other equipment, and ensure all areas are free of debris and hazards. Assist in delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely accurate manner. Run food, drinks, and other items as needed according to the established steps of service. Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food Promptly clear, clean, and reset tables and bar tops, properly sorting and dropping silverware, glassware, and plateware to proper areas. Handle various impromptu requests from customers Address guest needs, such as refilling water, delivering extra napkins, or answering basic menu questions. Perform opening and closing side work as assigned. Work closely and collaboratively with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, and all personnel to ensure smooth operations and maintain an efficient food and beverage service environment. Adhere to all compliance standards, including following standardized recipes precisely for consistent preparation and portion control; maintaining accurate labeling, dating, and storage procedures; following all safety and sanitation guidelines (including safe food handling, HACCP plans, and waste disposal); and adhering to uniform, dress code, and hygiene requirements.
