Key Responsibilities:
Table Setup and Maintenance:
Assist in setting up and preparing tables for service, including arranging table settings, utensils, and glassware. Ensure tables are immaculately presented throughout service, promptly clearing and resetting them for incoming guests.
Assisting Servers:
Collaborate closely with servers to deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy in orders and presentation. Provide support to servers as needed, including refilling water glasses, clearing empty plates, and addressing guest requests promptly and courteously.
Bussing and Cleaning:
Clear tables of dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly and discreetly, maintaining a clean and uncluttered dining environment. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including wiping down tables, chairs, and surfaces, and ensuring floors are clean and free of debris.
Food Expediting:
Assist kitchen staff in expediting food orders, ensuring dishes are plated and garnished correctly before being delivered to guests. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of food to tables.
Guest Interaction:
Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with inquiries, providing directions, and ensuring their needs are met to enhance their dining experience.
Supporting Bartenders:
Assist bartenders in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including clearing empty glasses and bottles and restocking bar supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar support role in a high-end restaurant or cocktail bar is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, while remaining calm under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive demeanor. Dedication to providing outstanding hospitality and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant environment for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach overhead. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate restaurant equipment and communicate with staff and customers.
