Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of the dining area Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing all sales transactions efficiently Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to upsell specials and enhance guest experience Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas through bussing and sanitation duties Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in accordance with food safety standards Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests, and resolve any concerns promptly Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including inventory checks and restocking supplies Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently using effective time management skills Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required Strong communication skills; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is helpful A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and guest relations Join our team today if you're ready to bring your energy, expertise, and enthusiasm into a dynamic restaurant environment!
