Filling Station BBQ is looking for a friendly, dependable Cashier / Server to join our team. This is a part time position with the opportunity to grow into full time hours for the right person. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays positive during busy shifts, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This position will include guest service, cashiering, serving, cleaning, stocking, and helping with food prep. Restaurant experience is a plus, but a great attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are even more important. Responsibilities Greet every guest in a friendly and welcoming way Take dine in, carryout, and phone orders accurately Operate the POS system and handle cash and card transactions Answer guest questions about the menu and make recommendations Deliver food to tables and make sure guests have everything they need Check on guests throughout their visit and provide great customer service Clear and clean tables as needed Restock sauces, drinks, utensils, paper products, and other service items Prepare beverages and assist with basic front of house food preparation Help with daily food prep as needed Portion ingredients, sauces, sides, and other menu items Assist with preparing items for service and keeping prep areas stocked Package carryout and delivery orders accurately Keep the dining room, front counter, beverage stations, prep areas, and work areas clean and organized Complete opening, closing, prep, and side work duties Assist other team members during busy periods Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, shift leads, and other team members Help create a positive, team focused environment Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures Be willing to learn different front of house and prep responsibilities as needed Must Haves Must be at least 18 years old Must have weekend availability Positive attitude and strong work ethic Dependable and punctual Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests Able to work well as part of a team Able to stay organized and positive in a fast paced environment Willing to take direction and learn Willing to help with both guest service and food prep Flexible availability is strongly preferred Must be able to stand and move throughout the majority of the shift Must be able to lift and carry approximately 25 to 30 pounds when needed Schedule This is a part time position with the opportunity for additional hours and potentially full time employment as you become trained and business needs allow. Weekend availability is required. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the restaurant schedule. What We're Looking For The biggest thing we look for is attitude.
